Japshow Finale 2007

What an excellent day.... loads of cars, stands, people and more importantly good drag racing...




Today I thought "last show of the year I HAVE to see what she can do".... So I ran the RX7 up the drag strip for the first time ever, was a bit nervous when lining up but was more focused as I approached the starting line.... First run I took it easy with my launch and ran on low boost 0.8bar. I got a 12.8 @ 114 which I felt was okay... Second time I put the boost up to 0.9 bar, again I took it easy on the launch as I didn't want to break anything. I managed a 12.8 again but with a terminal of 115 mph... For the final run I kept the boost at 0.9 but launched a bit harder and got a 12.7 with an terminal of 115 mph, have to say I'm quite happy with that...





I think I need to adjust my suspension, tyres etc for future runs and see what I get... Hoping for low 12's on the T04e turbo...

Shadow Grenwich Meet

After talking with the boyz, we decided to do a Shadowz car meet in Grenwich... Everyone was soon on their phones passing on the info to their friends... The turn out was pretty impressive about 25-30 cars in total ranging from Impreza, Civics, Skylines and RX7's. I did a little run with my friend's 380 bhp Impreza STI, I was running about 350 bhp.

Rotorstock 4 2007

This was the 4th Rotorstock event held by MazdaRotaryClub but the first one at Santa Pod... Was a great day with quite a few RX7, RX8 and other rotary powered cars. There was also a good turnout of various Japanese cars. I was planning on running the car on the drag strip but forgot my license at home, oh well maybe next time...

Honda Bluewater Meet

Got news from my Honda boyz about a Bluewater meet... Since I've always found these meets good, I thought it would be a good opportunity to take the RX7 out so I met up with them and made our way there... As usual some nice Honda's around, plus I was able to get some nice pics of my car from an excellent photographer...

Picked up the car today after what seemed ages and I have to say I'm very pleased with it

Time for a Change

After deciding the Pearl white was becoming to look dull I decided it was time for a change. I've always liked the Vanquish side skirts my friend had on his old RX7 so decided this is what I would change to. Everything else would stay the came except the colour would be a brilliant white!

Honda Bluewater Meet

Got a call from the boys about a Honda meet at Bluewater.... I hadn't taken the RX7 out this since last weekend so thought I would tag along.... Nice selection of Honda's there and an excellent place for some pictures...

Boxhill Jap Car Meet

The annual Boxhill meet for 2007 was in March, marking the first Jap car event of the year... A handful of us went down for the meet and although there were quite a few cars there, not as many as previous years...

London Tunnel Run

After the success of the first London Tunnel run, another one was organised and soon the news spread across the many car forums... An estimated 200+ cars turned up to this run... the highlight of the run was the hundreds of cars filling the underground roundabout tunnel on the route...

Tuning and Dyno

Took the car down to RE:Worx to get the car tuned and dynoed... 331 rwhp at 0.9 bar not bad with a slipping clutch and crappy plugs! Fun drive on the way there but even better on the way back... I was nervous putting my foot down after so many months of driving off boost... what can I say the power is awesome and flippin scary!
